One of the first major exterior tweaks that the Outlander received for 2025 would be with the redesign of its front grille. The Mitsubishi brand name is spelled out above the crest that sits in the middle, which sits nestled between standard LED running lights. The daytime running lights are also standard and receive the same LED treatment, and are positioned at each of the grille’s corners. Higher trims are adorned with optional 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels, which will be difficult to ignore when they’re spinning along at high speeds on the McDermott Freeway. Ground illumination is another optional exterior feature that projects the manufacturer’s recognizable logo on the pavement beneath the driver and passenger doors once they open, which is just as luxurious as the wheels it rides on.
Performance
We’d like to highlight a rather unorthodox aspect that you may not expect from a vehicle such as the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander due to its size. Thanks to the excellent power management of its standard Continuously Variable Transmission, this vehicle nets 24/31/27 MPG city/hwy/combined1 in estimated fuel economy ratings. These numbers are certainly competitive in its midsize class, and don’t lead to performance that leaves much to be desired either. As a matter of fact, its standard 2.5L MIVEC 4-cylinder engine is capable of producing up to 181 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. That means it will be both zippy and potent when driving around, which you can use to your advantage when hauling equipment with the help of its 2,000-lb. maximum towing capacity2
Safety
No longer will you have to shift your body in a variety of positions to safely leave a parking space at the Heubner Onion Natural area, given that the Outlander is affixed with an optional Multi-View Camera System3. It displays the area in close proximity to you on your infotainment panel in superb resolution, mitigating the chances of accidentally coming into contact with another motorist or obstruction. While you’re slowly wiggling the Outlander into a spot, the optional Reverse Auto-Tilt Door Mirrors will automatically pivot slightly downwards — allowing you to clearly see the painted lines.
