The three companies involved are WiTricity, IHI, and Mitsubishi Motors. The goal of this partnership is to create a wireless charging system that will make the lives of electric car owners much easier, and should streamline the charging process. The three companies hope to create a system that is highly user-friendly that can be executed “straight from the box”, meaning that installation should be a cinch. They hope that wireless charging stations will become available in both homes as well as public places.
